This two and one-half day course provides and introduction to the theory and practice of UV-Visible spectroscopy. Students will gain an understanding of why molecules absorb light, and how we can use this effect to make useful measurements. The course will emphasize the laboratory practices that are needed to produce reliable analytical results. Vendor presentations and demonstarations may be available on the morning of the third day.
