Introduction to Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS)

This is a three-day seminar that will provide a complete discussion on operation of an AAS intrument, covering the basic principle of absorbance spectrophotometry and its application in laboratory routine sample analysis, as well as troubleshooting and optimization of the equipment. From this course, the trainees will be able to gain in-depth skill on how to get the instrument and sample ready for analysis, what options are available for optimization of the instrument, as well as analyzing the sample. Experts will provide the trainee with their practical experience, which is gained in busy laboratories. During diagnostics sessions, an expert from industry will take the trainees through troubleshooting sessions on working equipment. Both the standard and the advanced features of the instrument and software will be discussed .Laboratory ``hands-on`` session with the instructor will allow more time for interactive discussion, and problem-solving (laboratory access to instrument required).

Who should attend?

Anyone responsible for routine operation and maintenance of the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers. Both basic and advanced level users will benefit from the comprehensive content.
